The True Story and My Writing Journey
Shattered Innocence Story
First of all, my thanks goes out to Elaine Marie Carnegie-Padgett for allowing me to do this feature on her blog and explain a little about my story.
Hi everyone, my story Shattered Innocence is meant to help those who have been abused by breaking the silence. Educating the public about what can go on in child abuse. Be aware of the signs.
This is my story of abuse and being a victim most my life until I became a survivor. And what a profound effect it had on my life. Carrying on into abusive relationships and beyond. It is my hope to have it published into a book that will help many more people.
We need to break the silence and the cycle of abuse. My abuse directly related to me being childless and has had a profound effect on my entire life. I am sixty-five years now and I have a lung disease. While it is moving slowly it could get worse at any time. This is on my bucket list of things to do!
I often would escape into my fantasy world of poetry by transporting to a different place. From a very young age my life was being controlled by men and mixing up my interpretation of them overall.
The story is my autobiography and memoir. One chapter a week will be published by BIZCATALST 360, a site I am a featured writer on. I will be posting it on my profile page and in different groups.
There will be links for the chapters. Chapters One and Two are out already so if you haven’t caught it yet be sure and check it out.
Chapter Three was a very hard chapter to write and very detailed. I’m putting a TRIGGER WARNING ON THAT CHAPTER and it will be out next week.
Excerpt from my story SHATTERED INNOCENCE:
“I could barely look anyone in the eyes. I just felt like crawling down into a deep dark hole and burying myself in it.”

Wow you are a brave soul. It requires a lot of courage to bring out all from within.
Good luck for your upcoming writings.
Wow Eva... What trials you have been through... I am so happy that you have found your safe harbor now... So wonderful that Alan is helping to spread the word of your talent and passion for poetry and storytelling... I look forward to discovering what comes next...
I read another post you just published about Alan making a video & reading poems. So beautiful. I'm so sorry about your difficult childhood. I think many from our generation things we'd never do ourselves with our children. Hugs.
Hi Eva Marie. Thank you for being YOU and for giving us a chance to share in your incredible story. You are a survivor who gives back to the world and I consider it an honor to know you. Take care. I'm looking forward to reading Shattered Innocence as difficult as it may be. I appreciate that your had the courage to write it.
Wishing you all the best with that memoir. As I think you know, I'm working on one also. Some chapters are emotionally difficult to write. So I relate. Take care.
